Mitchell's Mini Farm is a small family owned business that has been in concept since 2008; we finally got off the ground in January of 2011. Here we are working hard to strengthen our family’s security, create a unique learning experience for our children; all while providing wonderful pets and livestock to our customers.
With the uncertain times we now live in; watching upheavals of governments, severe weather, inflation, unemployment and industrialized foods (GMO’s) we believe now is the time to secure an asset that will be worth more than its weight in gold. Homegrown Food!
What better gift to give your family than to raise your own food, where you have peace of mind that it's safe, free of harmful antibodies, hormones or steriods. Raising your own food fosters discipline, can-do attitudes and a sense of purpose. Our animals are companions and providers, with each filling a need for our family. Chickens, goats, cows, pigs all have their purpose and we are grateful for them all.
When you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, when looking at what really matters, you have to put life into two categories; what you want vs. what you need, for my family we need security! To provide that security you must first come to the realization that you can't eat gold, silver doesn’t grow on trees and your 52” plasma TV will be worthless in times of trouble.
Our farm will provide us with vegetables, fruits, milk, meat, and safety. Self-sustainability is not a new concept, but it does require re-training ourselves to look inward, to our family or to our friends for sustenance; not to the government or the big box chain stores. Our goal is to help you become self-sustainable too, so with a little hard work (honestly it doesn't hurt) you can have your own peace and security.
